Audio summarizer
Summarize podcasts, meetings and lectures
Upload an audio recording and get a short briefing of what was said. Luminar turns speech into clear main points you can read, search, share and keep.
How it works
Upload the recording
Drop in an audio file: a talk, a meeting, a lecture or an interview.
Luminar listens
It turns the speech into text and pulls out the main points and decisions.
Read and keep
Read the briefing, listen to it, share it, or save it to your library.
What it is good for
Meetings
Get the decisions and next steps without replaying the call.
Lectures
Turn a recorded class into notes you can review.
Interviews
Find the quotes and ideas you need, fast.
Podcasts
Get the gist of an episode before you decide to listen.
What you get with every briefing
A briefing is more than a block of text. It is short, it shows where each point came from, and it stays with you.
Every point cited
Each point in the briefing links back to the part of the source it came from, so you can check it in one tap.
Saved to your library
Briefings stay in your library. Sort them into collections and come back to them later.
Listen instead
Have any briefing read aloud when you would rather listen than read.
Share or download
Send a link to the short version, or download the briefing as a PDF.
Your language
Read the briefing in 16 languages, including Spanish, French, German, Russian, Arabic, Hindi, Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
Diagrams when they help
When the source compares things, follows a timeline or explains a process, the briefing can include a simple diagram.
Questions
How long can a recording be?
On the free plan, audio and video summaries can be up to 20 minutes each, 3 a month. Pro includes 10 hours a month and Power includes 40 hours.
What if there is no speech?
Luminar summarizes what is said, so music or silence will not give a useful briefing.
Is my recording private?
Only the file you choose to summarize is sent, to our servers and AI providers, to make your briefing. Your reading is never sold.
Is it free?
Yes, you can start free with no card. The free plan includes 20 summaries a month, of which 3 can be audio or video up to 20 minutes each. Paid plans start at $8 a month billed annually and add more audio and video hours.
